St. Nektarios Church Wollongong restoration

Art Gilding was approached by Fr. Savas Pizanias to beautify the St. Nectarios Church of the Greek Orthodox parish in Wollongong. After the success of the St Joseph’s College frame restoration we invited our Master Class student, Ana, to accompany us again on this project.

It brought everyone involved in the project, especially the founders of the parish, great joy and satisfaction to see the Icon screen and 3 altars being transformed by gold leafing.

Father Savas, a young and dynamic priest, believes that by creating a beautiful ambience in his church he will be able to attract young people through marriage and baptism back to the parish.
