A Two Day Intensive Golden Weekend
This amazing course will show you the step-by-step techniques you can use to gild picture & mirror frames, panels, canvases, furniture, cornices and even entire walls.
Taught by Master Gilder, Karl Eggert, participants will learn how to apply metal leaf gilding in their home and to gild frames and furniture. No previous experience or skill is necessary – all materials and tuition is provided and your new skills will enable you to create a stunning natural effect with pure metal leaf using gold, silver, aluminium and a variety of other metals.
Use your new love of metal leaf gilding in your home or to add a wonderful new niche skill to your business, making it stand out and creating a new stream of profit.
Only four students per class.
What you will learn:
- Gilding of Egyptian Plaque (valued at $345).
- Application of Antique Patina to make the plaque look more than 100 years old.
- Gilding of four boards (faux silver, faux gold, copper leaf & genuine silver leaf). Use this skill to gild tabletops, panels, walls & ceilings.
- Gilding of a canvas in a leaf of your choice – use this canvas to create an artwork. You can paint with oils and acrylics over the finish.
