My friend Debbie asked me to gold leaf a frame that was attached to the wall in her hallway. Without hesitation, I gladly accepted the offer and recruited my incredibly talented Master Class student Steve Burt to help me onsite.

We recently completed another fantastic project as part of the Art Gilding Academy. This project was a City of Sydney Council restoration commissioned by RJC Group, which tasked us with giving life back to the Boy and Paddle cast iron statue in Paddington, NSW.
Ceiling gilding – Southern Highlands NSW

Our team completed the gilding of two ceilings in a heritage home in Exeter, NSW. We pre-gilded 370 linear metres in our studio which were sent to the work site before we started.
Gilded Ballroom Ceiling in North QLD

In late November 2018, we travelled to North Queensland for an amazing commission to gold leaf a 250-square-metre ballroom ceiling. All the cornices and the 16 column capitals were gilded on time and on budget.
Golden opportunity for Master Class students

We were invited to the Beach Gecko Studio in Joondalup WA to gild a glass sculpture. Once erected onsite it will stand over 5 metres tall. With the help of student Lorrie, we completed the gilding with 24-carat gold leaf on both inside and outside of the bowls in just one week.
St John’s College

In March 2018, our company, Art Gilding was asked to adorn the Philosophers Room and the large Nagel Library of the St John’s College with 23 karat gold leaf.
Art Gilding Academy, Joanna Buckley and the Abbotsford Convent

For three weeks we were involved in one of the most amazing projects in our long career as art gilders. Artist Joanna Buckley was inspired to cover the facade of the Abbotsford Convent in Dutch gold leaf. The gilding will last for approximately two years as part of a semi-permanent exhibition.
Assyrian Golden Mask
13 April 2017
We were delighted to work on a replica golden mask of an ancient Assyrian deity called a lamassu. Commissioned by by the Assyrian Cultural and Social Youth Association, the mask was 3D printed in nylon. Due to its porous nature we used special sealers before applying the gold leaf.
